I've been a musician my entire life ... at least as far as I can recall. From picking up a recorder in first grade, to trumpet in 4th grade, chorus, concert band, marching band, orchestra...Yes, I was a band geek. Then I discovered Kiss and Ace Frehley and that's where it all started. I still play a Les Paul today as I love the feel and chunk it provides. I started writing original songs and began playing live around the age of 25 doing straight acoustic sets at coffeehouses and busking on the streets of America's west. Eventually this passion led to my bandmates and in 1997 I formed Uncle Sam, a progressive rock band based in the Corvallis, OR. We performed a live set of all original music which I wrote and performed many shows and recorded one album. Eventually the band dissolved due to family issues, people moving away, and mainly due to the birth of my incredible daughter in 1999. At that point, my passion for music began to fizzle and the songs stopped downloading. My life turned in another direction and pursued a career as a digital media producer when eventually led me back to college, a teaching certification and a 12 year career as a digital media arts instructor. In 2018 my life drastically changed with the divorce from my 29 year life partner and in early 2019 I began exploring my music again, dusting off the old guitars and songs, investing in new gear and building a home studio. I started gigging again live in February of 2019 and have added over 90 songs to my live set and am growing my local base currently looking to expand outside my home geographic area. I love music, love to perform and am very much looking forward to refining the new songs that are being formed as I write this!
